Summer Vacation English Courses in the UK An English Vacation summer course for juniors to adults, from Elementary to Upper-intermediate levels. This unique course gives you the opportunity to have a holiday while studying English. At the beginning of the course the students are tested and placed into classes of their correct level. The English course provides formal tuition for approx. 15-18 hrs a week in multinational classes of up to 15 students. The lessons concentrate in developing the communication skills of speaking and listening, with time also devoting to reading and writing, as well as grammar and pronunciation. While the package of activities, sports and excursions included will depend on the school and location. Sports & Activities. A wide range of sports such as swimming, tennis, football, horse riding, golf, basketball, cricket, canoeing, etc. Evening activities will include barbecues, discos, games nights, quizzes, movies, international evenings, etc. Excursions are an important part of the leisure programme and there is a one full day excursion and one half day excursion per week.
Places to visit, depending on location, include: London, Oxford, Bath, Cambridge, Oxford, Salisbury, Hastings, Brighton, etc. All of the trips are organised and accompanied by the School’s leader.
Accommodation. These courses are available at Language Schools with accommodation with a Host family or in Residence. Courses at Universities for the 17+ years old with accommodation on campus or at Boarding Schools for the youngest with accommodation in Students Residence.
Boarding School and Universities have the advantage of having the sport facilities available on campus. For students under the age of 17 and travelling without the companion of an adult from the country of origin, we strongly recommend the security of a Boarding School, where he/she is going to be supervised at all times. For adults, we can also arrange self catering, Bed & Breakfast or Hotel. Juniors. The Summer Vacation English course brings together young people from all over the world to learn English in a safe and fun environment, and to experience life in Britain through a busy and exciting programme of excursions, sports and social activities. Group Leaders should choose the school location and accommodation most suitable for their group’s requirements and preferences.
Arrival in the Country. We can arrange for you to be met at your arrival airport and taken to your accommodation. If you would prefer to make your own way to your accommodation, we will send you information to help you with this. Insurance. Is obligatory for under 17 and for non European union students.
